Windscribe Student Discount: Does It Exist? What Deal?
Short answer: not really. Windscribe has a page on Student Beans, but it promotes “up to 1 year Pro free”, which is Windscribe’s referral program (open to everyone), not a student price. BUT Windscribe has a free plan, and its cheapest paid option is Pro yearly at $69 ($5.75/month).
🎓 No real student discount, BUT here’s the cheapest way in (last checked October 13, 2026)
- Free plan: $0, with a monthly data cap and fewer locations
- Pro yearly: $69 billed yearly ($5.75/mo)
- Pro monthly: $9.00/month
- Build a Plan: $1 per location per month ($3 minimum)
- Student discount: none (Student Beans lists the referral program)
What the Windscribe Student Beans offer really is
Student Beans lists two Windscribe offers: “Up to 1 Year Pro Free” and “Free DNS”. When you read the conditions, the first one is the normal referral program:
- You and each friend you refer get 1GB of extra data a month on the free plan.
- If a referred friend buys Pro, you get Pro free too (that’s where the “up to 1 year” comes from).
- Anyone can do this from their Windscribe account. No student check needed.
Windscribe has run short back-to-school promo codes in past years, but none was live when we checked. Watch out for old “Windscribe student discount” codes on coupon sites.
